The range

Automatic frame removal machine

The deframing machine. Pneumatic positioning clamps square the module, the cutting head releases the frame legs and the press frees the frame from the laminate. One module per minute, 1 t/h in the published brief.

Glass removal machine

Releases the front — or front and rear — glass from the laminate once the frame and junction box are off. Configured to the glass specification your buyer will accept.

Line arrangement

How to choose between a machine and a line

  1. 01

    Start from the constraint

If the bottleneck is manual deframing, one machine solves it. If the bottleneck is that nothing is sorted, the problem is the whole front end, not one station.

  2. 02

    Check the downstream outlet

The specification of what you can sell decides how many separation steps you need. Buying separation you have no buyer for is capital sitting still.

  3. 03

Count the operators you intend to use

Automation replaces labour, not feedstock. A semi-automatic arrangement with one operator per station is often the correct answer at low volume.

  4. 04

    Plan for the second machine

Tell us at quotation stage what you would add next. Machines placed with the future line in mind cost less to extend later than machines placed individually.

05

Which stations does your feedstock need?

The selector is process logic only — no capacity, yield or price figures are generated.

Process logic only. The selector applies the rules described on this page to your answers; it does not produce capacity, yield or price figures.

06

Start with one machine, or with the line

Buy the station that removes your existing bottleneck — for framed modules that is almost always the frame removal machine. It produces a clean aluminium stream you can sell immediately, and it protects the quality of everything processed afterwards.

What to insist on: tell us the intended end configuration when you order. Transfer heights, utility connections and space reservations cost almost nothing to plan in and are expensive to retrofit.

Not sure which configuration fits?

Send the module type, the condition, the through-put you need and the output you must produce. We will tell you which stations are required and which can wait.

FAQ

Questions

What equipment is needed to start recycling solar panels?

The minimum credible front end is a frame removal machine for framed modules, a junction box and cable station, and a glass separation step, plus conveying between them. If your feedstock is frameless or thin film, the frame removal step drops out and the process starts at the junction box. Size reduction and separation are added when you have a buyer who requires sorted fractions.

Can I buy the machines separately and build the line later?

Yes, and most of our projects start that way. The important thing is to tell us the intended end configuration at quotation stage, because output heights, transfer points and utility connections are much cheaper to plan in than to retrofit.

How is the equipment shipped and installed?

Machines are tested in our works, crated and loaded into containers. We supply drawings for foundations and utility interfaces, and we provide erection supervision, commissioning and operator training at your site. The frame removal machine's transport envelope of 2.5 m high by 2.23 m wide is container-friendly by design.

Which machine should come first?

For framed crystalline-silicon feedstock, the frame removal machine comes first, because it is the step that decides the value of everything downstream and it is the step most plants are doing by hand. For frameless or thin-film feedstock the first purchase is usually the glass and containment stage instead.

Send us the module mix and the through-put

Tell us what arrives at your gate and what has to leave. The engineering team replies with the station configuration, the scope boundary and the information still missing before drawings start.

  • Modules — framed single-glass, double-glass, frameless, thin film, mixed
  • Condition — intact, or a meaningful share damaged or bent
  • Through-put — modules per hour or t/h, and your shift pattern
  • Output — which fractions you sell or store, and to what specification
